To be honest, always stay upwind to avoid the “dangerous zone” , it’s not that is fault of the guy who is jumping since it is in competition and in the “box” should not have any rider. Although the landing can be out of the box (trick counts if your takeoff is inside the box, doesn’t matter if you land out of the box). So the downwind area should be clear (it’s not written on the rules but makes sense). In case of 30+ knots the landing point will be even further 🤷♂️). So there is no fault of the non of them, the one is competitor who “has” to jump in the box, the other is a free rider who should be aware of the situation and protect himself. It’s a dark area for who is right and who doesn’t. The bad thing is that @ogodenchik ended up with broken bones and the other guy lost consciousness and almost drowned himself having ribs injury. Shit happens yes, stay safe and sharp in the water!
